Catalyst Book Three
Suffering is Survival
—The Catalyst Series by JK Franks—
Since the Solar superstorm and CME almost two years ago, the Gulf Coast town of Harris Springs, Mississippi has suffered from gang attacks, famine, hurricanes and battled a crusading army of religious zealots. Now, they face their greatest challenge. Outsmarting a tyrannical President and escaping an approaching pandemic.
Scott Montgomery and his community sheltered in an abandoned cruise ship know their time is running out. Despite the relative calm they enjoy, they are aware of the horrors all around them. This period of relative stability doesn’t last long. As the zombie-like pandemic spreads, genetic engineering becomes the last hope of salvation. The new President and her rogue government has other ideas including internment camps full of imprison American citizens where bio-warfare weapons are being tested.
This third book in the series immerses readers once more in the story of our nation’s struggle to rebuild itself after an CME wipes out all electricity and plunges the country into darkness, starvation, and chaos.
A Jaw-Dropping Ending that will leave readers stunned!
Franks has hit his stride with this one. Hell yeah! Catalyst is back!
Rarely has a trilogy finale lived up to much less surpassed the earlier books. This is how you make a finale!
Another great story, action, emotion, adventure. Ghost Country has it all!
This begins the end...
Writing Ghost Country was bittersweet as I knew it was going to be the final part of the Catalyst series. All of our favorite characters are back but they are facing some new and truly terrifying challenges.
I always viewed this series as a trilogy with three distinct but inter-connected stories. (I had not originally anticipated the novella, American Exodus but it fit in very nicely). Ghost Country brings a conclusion to the journey. As a writer it was satisfying to me as it held true to the original conclusion I envisioned while incorporating the growth of the characters story arcs.
Ghost Country does have more of a military action thriller to it than the previous books, so be prepared. Lots of action, lots of twist and an ending that you will not see coming. Enjoy the book and don't miss the notes after the epilogue on how to get in on a secret bonus chapter.Get it here
